Dear Ringway Family,
Greetings in the name of our loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! I pray this heartfelt pastoral letter finds you all well!
It’s been over four months since we last met together in person on Sabbath. You are dearly missed! All of you, no exceptions! … And how we miss meeting together in our beautiful church, worshipping the Lord, socialising with each other! We hope and pray that the day comes soon when it will be safe and proper for us to meet again. What a wonderful occasion to look forward to, what a beautiful day it will be!
However, as things stand, we are not free yet to reopen church but I can assure you that the BUC and NEC are reviewing the situation and guidance regularly. Your safety and health are paramount to us. In this context, the responsible thing to do for us as a responsible church community is to be sure that we all check and adhere to the government guidance for private meetings.
During the past months, we have resumed church by means of modern technology and the internet. While we praise God for all the progress being made, we realise that having the church services online may have disadvantaged many of you. We regret this and kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
You are very precious to God, your loved ones as well as the church family! We want to reconnect with all of you and will never stop trying to find new ways to keep in touch with you — have a chat and pray together. Meanwhile we are encouraged by God’s promises such as Jeremiah 29:11-12 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.”
We may be physically separated from each-other, but we take heart from the uplifting words from Romans 8:38-39, as we remain convinced that “nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love . . . that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I’d love to hear from you! Please never hesitate to call or send a text message on this number: 07425744176 and/or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Until then, I pray that the Lord keeps you and your loved ones safe in His loving arms! Always remember that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
with loving greetings from Beatrice, the Elders and the Board!
